Facilities at Downley Community Centre


We have a choice of facilities suitable for a wide range of leisure, social and community activities, with spaces available for everything from small meetings and classes to larger gatherings and events.

The Community Centre has on-site parking for the exclusive use of hirers and their guests while using the Centre. A defibrillator is also available on site.

We offer a flexible pricing scheme for all our customers. Online booking requests will receive a quotation via email. Registered users can access their booking information, make repeat bookings and manage their account online.

Please note: The capacities displayed for our larger rooms are based on a standing layout and should be used as a guide only. Seated capacity will be lower and will vary depending on the type of event, room layout and the number of tables and chairs required. If you are unsure whether a room is suitable for your booking, please contact us and we will be happy to advise.

Capacity: 60 people
Pricing: £11.00-£15.00 per hour

Beech is our largest room, featuring beautiful oak flooring and plenty of natural light. For seated events, capacity will vary depending on the required room layout and use of tables and chairs.

Oak

Capacity: 40 people
Pricing: £11.00-£15.00 per hour

Oak is another of our spacious rooms for hire, featuring wooden flooring and plenty of natural light. For seated events, capacity will vary depending on the required room layout and use of tables and chairs.

Book Maple

Maple

Capacity: 8 people
Pricing: £9.00-£11.00 per hour

Maple is our smallest room, offering a comfortable and practical space for meetings, small groups and more intimate sessions. Its size makes it particularly well suited to activities where a quieter, more focused setting is preferred.

Ash

Capacity: 12 people
Pricing: £10.00-£12.00 per hour

Ash is a versatile space available for hire outside of the Public Library’s opening hours. It provides a practical setting for meetings, groups, classes and community activities, with hire times subject to library opening hours.

Beech & Oak

Capacity: 100 people
Pricing: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Beech and Oak are connected by adjoining doors, which can be opened to combine the two rooms and create one larger, flexible space. This makes them a great option for larger gatherings, events, classes and community activities where additional room is required.
